How to Measure Your Finger

For the most accurate result, measure at the end of the day when fingers are at their largest. Avoid measuring when hands are cold or swollen.

1. Wrap a thin strip of paper or a soft measuring tape around the base of your finger.
2. Mark where the ends meet and measure the length in millimetres.
3. That measurement is your finger's circumference — use the chart below to find your size.
4. If your measurement falls between two sizes, choose the larger size for comfort.

Measuring Over the Knuckle

Most rings must pass over the knuckle to reach the finger base. If your knuckle is noticeably wider than your finger base, measure both and choose a size in between — snug enough to stay in place, loose enough to slide on comfortably.

• Measure the widest part of your knuckle the same way as your finger base.
• If the difference is 2–3 mm or less, size to your finger base.
• If the difference is 4 mm or more, choose the midpoint between the two measurements.

• Size down if the ring will be worn on the right hand (tends to run slightly smaller) or if you prefer a snug, secure fit.
• Size up if you have a larger knuckle relative to your finger base, live in a warm climate, or plan to wear the ring on your dominant hand.
• Wider band styles fit tighter than narrow bands — size up half a size for bands 6 mm or wider.
